W. Clark Beckett, MD F.A.C.S

Dr. W. Clark Beckett is a board certified Vascular Surgeon and is nationally recognized in the treatment of varicose veins and venous disease. Dr. Beckett came to Vero Beach in 1990 and has remained in numerous leadership positions at Indian River Medical Center. Having performed over 2500 Varicose Vein procedures, Dr. Beckett welcomed laser technology and the huge advantage it offers in the treatment of venous disease.

Dr. Beckett came to Vero Beach from San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Beckett received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School San Antonio and completed his surgical residency and vascular surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine under world renowned surgeons Michael DeBakey and E. Stanley Crawford. In 1990, Dr. Beckett moved to Vero Beach to join Indian River Medical Center as Chief of Vascular Surgery and is now the Chief of Staff at Indian River Medical Center. Dr. Beckett is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, fellow of the American College of Phlebology and a member of numerous vascular and medical societies.

Mitch Johnson, PA-C
Mitch Johnson has been working as a Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant for more than 20 years. He has been working with Dr. Beckett for over 10 years. Together, they make an incredibly talented team.

Mitch has performed Sclerotherapy and Laser Vein Therapy on over 1000 patients. With his expertise and incredible attention to detail, he has been making spider veins, telangiectasia (tiny veins) hemangiomas and other vascular related unwanted skin imperfections disappear.

Mitch received his Physician Assistant degree and certification from Hudson Valley Medical College in Albany New York. Prior to that, he received his Bachelor of Science in nursing from Cayuga College in Auburn New York. Mitch remains very active in national and statewide PA Societies.

Virginia E. Fegert, MD
Dr. Fegert is an Aesthetic Physician and Anesthesiologist, Board Certified by the American Society of Anesthesiology. At VeinTherapies, Dr. Fegert concentrates in Aesthetic Medicine, performing all non-invasive laser skin procedures. She welcomes the advantages and alternatives laser skin rejuvenation therapies bring to her patients. In addition to using a wide variety of laser applications, Dr Fegert blends art and science, utilizing dermal fillers and other modalities to renew and restore skin health. The result is that patients look better and more rejuvenated than they imagined possible, all without invasive surgery.
Dr. Fegert received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Tulane University in New Orleans graduating with distinction. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Anesthesia at the prestigious University of California, San Francisco. While at UCSF, Dr. Fegert was recipient of the distinguished Stuart C. Cullen Award as the outstanding clinical resident. Following residency, Dr. Fegert was awarded a Clinical Research Fellowship in Cardiovascular Anesthesia.
Dr. Fegert came to Vero Beach in 1988 and has served in numerous leadership positions at Indian River Medical Center, including Chief of Anesthesiology and Medical Executive Committee Secretary. She was also Medical Director at Indian River Surgery Center. Currently she is a Clinical Assistant Professor, FSU College of Medicine, and serves as a Cardiac Anesthesiologist with the Indian River Medical Center Heart Team. Dr. Fegert is a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, American Society of Anesthesiologists, Florida Society of Anesthesiologists and Indian River County Medical Society.

Bonnie Pfiester, CDT
Bonnie Pfiester, CDT began her career as a full service salon owner and makeup artist with Christian Dior. Bonnie received her initial Permanent Makeup Certification by DeJoy’s Permanent Make Up Training Center. Bonnie had the privilege to receive advanced training at the Department of Plastic Surgery, Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, receiving her second certification by the American Institute of Intradermal Cosmetics.

Bonnie has worked with some of the most prestigious physicians in North Florida, Alabama and South Georgia including Plastic Surgeons, Ophthalmologists and Cosmetic Dentists. Bonnie now works exclusively at Vein Therapies providing permanent eyeliner, eyebrows and lip color.

For those who lack the skill, or are unable to apply make-up, Bonnie will be more than happy to consult with each patient in order to accurately meet each patient’s expectations. Patients are encouraged to bring their favorite cosmetics and wear make-up in to the office, if possible, so she can see your personal choice of color and style.
